உடனடியாக போர் நிறுத்தம் ஏற்பட இலங்கை அரசை இந்தியா எச்சரிக்க வேண்டும் என்று தேமுதிக தலைவர் விஜயகாந்த் கோரிக்கை விடுத்துள்ளார். இதுகுறித்து அவர் வெளியிட்ட அறிக்கையில் கூறியிருப்பதாவது:
ஏப்ரல் மாதத்தில் சிங்களவர்களின் புத்தாண்டு வருகிறது. அதற்குள் தமிழர்களை அழித்து புத்தாண்டை வெற்றித் திருநாளாகக் கொண்டாட இலங்கை அரசு திட்டமிட்டுள்ளது. இலங்கை அரசின் இனவெறிப்போக்கால் இனி தமிழர்கள் வாழ தனி நாடு தேவை என்ற நிலை உருவாகியுள்ளது.
போரினால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட தமிழர்களை மீட்க ஐ.நா., செஞ்சிலுவை சங்கம் ஆகியவற்றின் மேற்பார்வையில் முகாம்கள் அமைக்க வேண்டும். போர்நிறுத்தம் ஏற்பட இலங்கையை இந்தியா எச்சரிக்க வேண்டும் என்று விஜயகாந்த் கூறியுள்ளார்.

i dont know why this actors over acting on srilankan issues. are we on their pocket or their wallet. we as the nation having a problem as they do they have a worst problem then we have but their unity stronger then us.i agree the point india is our father nation and mother bond. but we have our own let be rule and govern by us. these actors keep their mouth shut and get on their own money making life style. dont fool us. they were fool us sometime but not all the time.
