அங்குலான பொலிஸாரால் இரண்டு இளைஞர்கள் கைது செய்யப்பட்டு கொலை செய்யப்பட்டதாகக் கூறி பிரதேசவாசிகள் நேற்றுக் காலை முதல் அங்குலான பொலிஸ் நிலையத்தை சுற்றிவளைத்து ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் செய்ததுடன் தாக்குதல்களையும் மேற்கொண்டனர்.
பிரதேசவாசிகள் நடத்திய தாக்குதல்கள் காரணமாக பொலிஸ் நிலையம் சேதமாக்கப்பட்டதுடன் பொலிஸ் உத்தியோகஸ்தர்களும் காயமடைந்துள்ளனரென கல்கிஸ்ஸை பொலிஸார் தெரிவித்தனர்.
அந்தப் பிரதேசத்தைச் சேர்ந்த தனுஷ்க உதயகுமார (வயது – 21), தினேஷ் தரங்க (வயது – 27) ஆகிய இரு இளைஞர்களே கொல்லப்பட்டுள்ளனர். இந்தச் சம்பவம் தொடர்பான முழுமையான விசாரணைகளை மேற்கொள்ளவென 3 பொலிஸ் குழுக்கள் நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக பொலிஸ் ஊடகப் பேச்சாளரும் சிரேஷ்ட பொலிஸ் அத்தியட்சகருமாகிய ரஞ்சித் குணசேகர தெரிவித்தார்.
இந்தச் சம்பவத்தின்போது கடமையில் இருந்த பொலிஸ் பொறுப்பதிகாரியும் அவருடன் இணைந்து கடமையில் ஈடுபட்டிருந்த ஆறு பொலிஸாரும் உடனடியாக மாற்றம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளனர். அந்த இடத்திற்கு புதிதாக இன்ஸ்பெக்டர் ஒருவரும், உதவி பொலிஸ் இன்ஸ்பெக்டர் ஒருவரும் 12 பொலிஸ் கான்ஷ்டபிள்களும் நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக அவர் மேலும் தெரிவித்தார். இந்தச் சம்பவம் தொடர்பாக மேலும் தெரியவருவதாவது :-
அங்குலான கூட்டுறவு கடைக்கு அருகில் வசிக்கும் இளைஞர்கள் இருவரும் நேற்று 13ம் திகதி அதிகாலை 2.30 மணியளவில் அங்குலான பொலிஸ் பொறுப்பதிகாரி தலைமையிலான குழுவினரால் அழைத்துச் செல்லப்பட்டனர் என்று பிரதேசவாசிகள் தெரிவித்தனர்.
இவ்வாறு அழைத்துச் செல்லப்பட்ட இரண்டு இளைஞர்களின் சடலங்களும் அங்குலான பொலிஸ் நிலையத்துக்கு அண்மையில் உள்ள பாலத்திற்கு அருகிலும், ரயில் பாதைக்கு அருகிலும் கிடந்துள்ளன. அவர்களது உடலில் துப்பாக்கிச் சூட்டு காயங்களும் காணப்பட்டன.
இந்தச் சம்பவத்தை அடுத்து ஆத்திரமடைந்த பிரதேச மக்கள் தமது எதிர்ப்பை தெரிவித்தனர். இதனை கட்டுப்படுத்தும் பொருட்டு ஸ்தலத்திற்கு இராணுவம் அழைக்கப்பட்டதுடன் கண்ணீர் புகை பிரயோகமும் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டது.
இரண்டு இளைஞர்களின் கொலைகளுக்கும் அங்குலான பொலிஸ் நிலைய உத்தியோகத்தர்களே பொறுப்பு கூறவேண்டும் என்றும் பிரதேச மக்கள் தெரிவித்தனர்.
அதிகாலை 2.30 மணியளவில் பொலிஸாரால் அழைத்துச் செல்லப்பட்ட தனது மகன் விடியும் போது சடலமாக கிடப்பது எவ்வாறு என்று அவரது பெற்றோர்கள் கேள்வி எழுப்பினர். அன்றைய தினம் பொலிஸ் நிலையத்தில் கடமையாற்றிய பொறுப்பதிகாரி உட்பட சகலரும் கைதுசெய்யப்பட்டு பக்கச் சார்பற்ற விசாரணைக்கு உட்படுத்தப்பட வேண்டும் என்றும் தெரிவித்தனர்.
இதேவேளை இரு இளைஞர்கள் கைது செய்யப்பட்டமைக்கான எந்தவித எழுத்து மூல ஆவணங்களும் இல்லை என்று பொலிஸ் ஊடகப் பேச்சாளர் குறிப்பிட்டார். இந்தச் சம்பவம் தொடர்பான மஜிஸ்திரேட் விசாரணைகளும் நேற்று மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டன.
இந்தக் கொலையைக் கண்டித்து பிரதேச மக்கள் நேற்று நண்பகல் வரை ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் செய்தனர்.
பிரதேச வாசிகளால் பொலிஸ் நிலையம் சுற்றி வளைக்கப்பட்டதால் அதன் பொறுப்பதிகாரி உட்பட பொலிஸார் வெளியேற முடியாமல் இருந்தனர். பின்னர் கலகம் அடக்கும் படையினரினதும், இராணுவத்தினரினதும் உதவி பெறப்பட்டு அங்குலான பொறுப்பதிகாரி ரி. டபிள்யூ. நியுடன் உட்பட சகலரும் மீட்டெடுக்கப்பட்டனர்.
அவரை ஏற்றிச் சென்ற வாகனம் மீதும் பொதுமக்கள் கற்கள் எறிந்து தாக்குதல் நடத்தியுள்ளனர். இந்தக் கல் வீச்சு காரணமாக ஊடகவியலாளர் ஒருவரும் காயமடைந்துள்ளார்.
இந்தச் சம்பவம் காரணமாக கரையோர ரயில் போக்குவரத்து நண்பகல் 12.00 மணிவரை பாதிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தன. பிரதேச மக்கள் ரயில் பாதைகளை இடைமறித்தும் எதிர்ப்புக்களை தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.

1. This is very funny, they just get away with murders with a simple transfer to another location. Is human life is so cheap in Sri Lanka.

We are so short sighted and that is seen in some of the remarks being made about those in IDP camps and those not in them etc.. what is happening now is the result lawlessness.

இந்த நிலையில் இளைஞர்கள் இருவரும் மறுநாள் அதாவது நேற்று, வியாழக்கிழமை காலையும் வீடுகளுக்கு வந்த சேராததால் குடும்பத்தவர்கள் பொலிஸ் நிலையம் சென்று இளைஞர்கள் பற்றி விசாரித்துள்ளனர். எனினும் அவர்கள் இருவரையும் விடுவித்து விட்டதாக பொலிஸார் தெரிவிக்கவே குடும்பத்தவர்கள் பிரதேசவாசிகளுடன் இணைந்து இளைஞர்கள் இருவரையும் தேட ஆரம்பித்துள்ளனர்.
இச் சந்தர்ப்பத்தில் மொரட்டுவ லுனாவ பாலம் பகுதியிலிருந்தும் இரத்மாலனை ரயில் பாதையோரமாகவிருந்தும் இரு சடலங்கள் மீட்கப்படவே அவ்விரு சடலங்களும் பொலிஸாரால் அழைத்துச் செல்லப்பட்ட இளைஞர்களுடையதேயென குடும்பத்தவர்கள் அடையாளம் காட்டியுள்ளனர்.
