“In a way this is a shock. Because the LTTE has its own myths. Most of the Tamils who really support the LTTE are in shock. But their weakness is that if there is no leadership the organisation will end. I don’t see them as freedom fighters. They seem like a limited company owned by a few individuals. They don’t have the norms of a liberation organisation. It’s a one man-led army and it has come to a very bitter end. But successive Sri Lankan governments have oppressed the Tamil community. இலங்கையில் வாழும் தமிழர்களின் உரிமைகள் மறுக்கப்படும்போது வாழ்வில் சிங்கள தமிழ் மக்களிடையே ஏற்றத்தாழ்வுகள் ஏற்படும்போது , இனங்களிற்கிடையே அமைதியின்மை தோன்றும். அதற்கு 3 வருடமோ 30 வருடமோ 300 வருடமோ இன்னும் ஆகலாம். தமிழர்களின் விடுதலைக்கு அத்திவாரமே இப்போது இல்லை. அதற்குள் சிலர் கோட்டை கட்டி புலிக்கொடியை பறக்கவிட முயற்சிக்கின்றனர். புலிகள் கட்டியதெல்லாம் மாவீரர் சமாதிகளே. இன்னமும் 30 ஆண்டுகள் புலிகளை அழிக்காது விட்டிருந்தால் தமிழ் பகுதிகள் முழுவதும் மாவீரர் துயிலுமில்லமாக மாறியிருக்கும்.

இங்கு புலிகளின் ஆதரவாளர்களாக அடையாளம் காணப்படுபவர்கள் யாவரும், தமிழரின் அழிவிற்கு தெரிந்தோ தெரியாமலோ உதவியவர்கள் தான். அது மட்டுமல்ல இன்னமும் எத்தனயோ புலிகளின் பெயரால் வாழ்வை மேம்படுத்திய ஈழவிடுதலையாளர்கழும் உலகமெங்குமுள்ளனர். இவர்களின் பட்டியல் வெளிவராது. காரணம் இவர்கள் ஏமாற்றியது தமிழர்களையே.

தமிழர்களை இந்த நிலமைக்கு தள்ளியவர்கள் முதலில் புலிகள் அதன் பின்பே சிங்கள அரசாகும்.

புலனாய்வுத்துறையினர் அல்லது புலனாய்வத்துறையினர்க்கு வேலை செய்பவர்களால் வெளிநாடுகளில் உள்ள தமிழ் முக்கியஸ்த்தர்களை நோக்கி எறியப்பட்ட முதலாவது வலை, இந்த வலையில் பல புள்ளிகள் மாட்டப்படுவர் என்பதே இதன் நோக்கம், எப்படி என்றால் இதே போன்று நீங்களும் பட்டியல் தயாரித்து வெளியிடுவீர்கள் அதுவும் உங்கள் இணையத்தளத்திலேயே வெளியிடவும் செய்வீர்கள் அதில் பல மிக முக்கியமான விடயங்கள் விசேடமாக புலிகள் பற்றியதும் புலிகளின் பணங்கள் பற்றியதும் மேலும் அரசு எதிர்பாளர்கள் பற்றியதையும் பெற்றுக் கொள்ளும் முயற்ச்சியேதான்!

இது ஒன்றும் உயிராபத்தானதல்ல என்பதே எனது கருத்து, இன்றுள்ள இந்த தருணம் யார் யாருடன் என்பதை தீர்மானிக்கும் காலம் அதன்போது குழுக்களாக பிரித்துவிடுவதில் உள்நோக்கம் கொண்டிருக்கும், ஆனால் இதனால் நீண்டகால பயனை பெறமுடியாது!

புலி எதிர்ப்பாளர் சிங்களவரிடம் தமிழரிற்காக அடிவாங்கினால் அது விடுதலைக்காக வாங்கிய அடியேயாகும். புலி ஆதரவாளர் தமிழர்களின் உடமைகளையும், உயிர்களையும் அபகரித்து தமிழர்களிற்கு அடியும் வாங்கிக் கொடுப்பதில் அல்லவா முன்நின்றார்கள், முன்நிற்கின்றார்கள்.

I am not sure how and when you were involved in liberation of tamils from Sinhala oppression. LTTE started late 1970 but tamils being massacred by Sinhala oppressors since 1948. Nearly 25 years before LTTE where were you and why couldn’t you stop Sinhala violence against tamils. It clearly says you have never been a opponent to Sinhala oppression. You are always with the oppressors. Your anti LTTE phenomena is in support of the oppressors, not in favour of liberation of tamils.

பிரச்சினை ஒரிஜினல் பேட்டி எதில் வந்ததென்றதல்ல, பேட்டியில் அவர் என்ன சொன்னார் என்பதே.

Could we now stop bickering among ourself about who said “what, where and when”.

There are other important issues to discuss such as the future of democracy in Sri Lanka, minimum understanding among Tamil Speaking People, land grab by the powerful and the state through out Sri lanka, victims of war, education……..

If we listen to KP there are “lessons to be learned” in his interviews.

The Sinhala Buddhist nationalist are churning history day and night to prove, promote and popularise Sinhala Buddhist history that they claim to be the chosen people of the island.

Their version of the history justifies the militarisation of North East. Under the pretext of development colonisation has been accelarated at a unprecedented phase, with the view to assimilate the whole people into a monolithic Sinhala Buddhist people..

Militarisation and colonisation are interlinked and should be dealt with through a political process. Democratisation of the state is key to preventing selective development which leads to demographic changes in the North East. With the forth coming census in 2011 the Tamil Speaking people will have far fewer elected representative in the parliament than ever before. Therefore politically and strategically motivated development should be resisted and should we not advocate a bottom up approach to the restructuring of the whole of the island?

The Tamil speaking people’s heritage in the North East have been either dismissed, misrepresented or plundered by the narrow nationalists, politicians and the antique dealers.

There is an urgent need to record, research, publish, exchange information, organise seminars, preserve……. to protect the Tamil Speaking People’s heritage without which their claim to their land become false and their existence untenable.

I must make it clear that I am not saying:

Development is bad.

Sinhala Speaking people should not live in the North East.

People who opposed LTTE, did so for what LTTE did in the past, and how it articulated its energy and resources to weaken the Tamil Speaking people’s legitimate struggle. It was a self destructive force which found enemies in all people who did not agree with its Polpotist ideology.

Although framing of people as “Traitors” was started with Tamil political parties in the early 1970’s, LTTE fully utilised the “concept” to eliminate its “perceived” enemies with impunity and justification. The sad think was LTTE never defined the word “Traitor” so that the people could understand what or what actions constitute Traitor.

The events unfolding since the anihilation of LTTE shows the continuation of the same trend set by its primary proponent, V Prabaharan. “if you are not with us you are against us”

As I have outlined in my previous comments, there is an urgent need to do things outside the scope of pro/anti LTTE groupings.

Hope the Tamil Speaking people will move on rather than dwelling in parochial sentiments.

I DO’not AGREE ENTIRELY WITH THIS STATEMENT!.IN A – Z,list Singhalese are little-bit over, but not without justifications. ARTICULATED ENERGY WAS MISGUIDED.There was no connection between “world Tamil studies (stated below) and Srilankan Tami’s issue concerned, but it was use to flirted (CANNIBALISM, without concerning the sufferings of people concerned) around without sensitiveness, which was misunderstood by international community and gave a equal status (in legal terms) to LTTE with Srilankan government in negotiation table!. You can say we never guided V.Prabakaran to go in this way, but a lot of “parochial expediencies”. It was understood as Tamil’s problem in southasian context. I think Singhalese ask why Srilankan Tamils support us and oppose us – I also need the answer!.

Prabhakaran elected Eliezer to the “Maamanthar” rank in 1997. Eliezer died shortly afterwards. His Sri Lankan students, totally unaware of Eliezer’s politics, collected money for an “Eliezer fund” because of their respect for his contributions to teaching Mathematics at the University of Ceylon.Elagupillai, V:Elagupillai has also organized LTTE-oriented “Tamil Studies” conferences under the aegis of the University of Ottawa and the Carlton University. The bio-data of Elagu, as written by him, states that he was born in “Tamil Eelam”, and used to sway the Liberal Party by his claims of being able to command a block vote from the Tamil community./

NOW AFTER DRIVING TO MULLIYAVAILKAL, THEY WANT TO BLACK-OUT THE WHOLE ISSUE (including K.P.), now started flirt in Tamilnadu (world Tamil studies!). This kind of cannibalism? was also supported by some srilankan-tamilmuslims in Srilankan consulate Chennai, India!. Srilankan government should ensure against the proliferation of this from their consulate in Chennai, India. I do not say LTTE was not to be respected but, “THEY CARRY A POLITICAL ISSUE”, THEY WERE NOT BIGGER THAN THAT “ISSUE”!.
